Patch Brewsday: Google Alpha Go

Join us June 14th at Jailbreak’s Taproom for a presentation of the technical details of Google’s Alpha Go that shocked the AI community by doing what many believed was at *least* a decade away. Raytheon COI’s own Jeff Guy will provide an introduction to the game of Go and the challenges it has posed to previous attempts by computers. He will then dive into Alpha Go’s approach which combined Monte Carlo Tree Search with Convolutional Neural Networks to achieve a 4-1 victory over a top human professional and a 99.8% winning rate against other Go programs.
