Elevate your spirits and join us for an unforgettable collaboration as we partner with Lyon Rum, the flagship spirit of Windon Distilling Company, a local distillery located in Saint Michaels, Maryland, to bring you an extraordinary Lyon Night at Jailbreak. This unique event promises an evening of refined taste and the signature warmth of Lyon Rum’s craftsmanship.
🥃 Rum Flight Exploration:
Embark on a journey through the rich and diverse world of rum with our specially curated flight. Indulge your senses with a selection of four exceptional rums, each distinct in character and craftsmanship.
Dark Rum (90 proof) is our signature spirit and unlike any other. Made from 100% Louisiana cane sugar & blackstrap molasses, and double distilled in tiny batches, in classic pot stills. It’s then blended with a smoky handmade caramel, it has complex notes of burnt sugar, molasses, and baking spices. The finish is long and smooth.
Sailors Reserve (100 proof) is our classic white rum finished in American oak (former bourbon barrels) for a minimum of 2 years in order to preserve it’s youthful & robust character, while layering hints of vanilla & oak. With zero additives the finish is delicate & dry.
Black Rum is an annual favorite, and is lovingly referred to as “Goldilocks Rum” not too sweet, not too strong, jussttttt right 🙂 It’s bottled at a lower 84 proof, great for sipping, similar to our classic Dark Rum but with a strong new American Oak finish, lots of buttercream + vanilla on the end! only 500 bottles per year.
Overproof Oak is a recurring character in our lineup — bottled at 126 proof it’s one of our strongest rums, and employs new French Oak (not bourbon barrels like the Sailors) for a dry, spicy (baking spice, that is) finish and a lot of heat! Great as a floater in tiki drinks or for the cask-strength rye whiskey lover.
