Jailbreak’s Gone Legit! Brewhouse On The Building Block….

Well it’s official. After first considering nine different brew house manufacturers and narrowing those down to two, we’ve decided on a 20bbl brew house from DME along with two 40bbl fermenters and six 20bbl fermenters…..and a 40bbl brite tank to top off the order. Ultimately, we wanted a brew house made here in North America and we’re now relying on our Canadian friends to build us a beauty. Delivery is set for November 22nd.

Now that we’ve finalized our home at 9445 Washington Blvd in Laurel, we’ve hired our architect and will be busy pulling together the final designs and then on to construction. I first considered building it out myself but being I have a tough enough time even hanging pictures….we rightly decided to seek out a competent local firm. While all this is happening, we’ll be filing for our state and federal permits. Fun stuff, eh?

With all this said, our system likely won’t be installed and fully tested until mid to late December at which point we’ll likely need 4-6 weeks to brew and ferment our little oddities. We’ll likely push back a tap room opening until early February. I guess a one month delay isn’t too bad and hopefully there will be no more surprises or delays along the way. In the meantime, we’ll be continuing to cook up some strange brews on the half barrel system. Feel free to reach out to us if you want on the short list for panel tastings. Thanks all for reading.
