ODB’RSKY Release Party!

Almost two years in the making, but it’s finally here: ODB’RSKY—our very own whiskey distilled at (and in collaboration with) Lyon Distilling Co. from our beer. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a release party on Friday, January 18th in the Taproom!

Starting at 5 p.m., we’ll have a Lyon pop-up bar, serving an ODB’RSKY cocktail and a special “beertail” featuring Lyon spirits and a Jailbreak brew. We’ll also be serving up flights boasting ODB’RSKY, two beer pairings, and a smaller pour of the ODB’RSKY cocktail. Additionally, you can pair a shot of ODB’RSKY with a beer of your choosing for $12. And we’ll have exclusive food pairings to boot!

Lyon’s founder, Jaime, will be joining us in the Taproom from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

In October 2017, we teamed up with our lovely friends at Lyon to produce this tiny batch of ODB’RSKY. They let us spend the day at their production facility, nestled in a historic flour mill (now dubbed “The Old Mill District”) in St. Michaels, where we double distilled ODB, our oud bruin ale, before letting it rest in five-gallon Balcones Distillery bourbon barrels for a year and a half. A couple of weeks ago, the Lyon crew hand-bottled the beersky at 100 proof. The resulting spirit is delightfully boozy and surprisingly seasonally appropriate with hints of cherry cola and caramel apple on the nose, toasted marshmallow on the palate, and a deep toffee finish.
