Beer in Maryland Book Signing

Join local author Maureen O’Prey in the Taproom, from 4 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4th, for a book signing of her latest release Beer in Maryland: A History of Breweries Since Colonial Times.

The book delves into the rich and detailed history of the brewing industry across the entire state of Maryland, from its inception to the present day, revealing little known stories of the brewing families that built thriving communities and left lasting legacies. It takes readers up to the present day of the industry, discussing many of the different challenges faced by craft breweries.

Taproom opens at 3 p.m.; Happy Hour ’til 6 p.m.

About the Author

Maureen O’Prey is a practicing historian and a widely acknowledged expert on the brewing history of Maryland. In addition to teaching history at the collegiate level for over a decade, she has worked with area museums, served on state economic history panels focused on the brewing industry in Maryland, and writes about the history of the industry. She is also the historian for the Emmy Award winning and Golden Reel nominated documentary film Brewmore: Baltimore.
