2 miles for 2 hearts fundraiser

Come into the taproom on July 28th to support 2 Miles For 2 Hearts! The 2 Miles For 2 Hearts memorial race raises money for the Elizabeth Nass and Rose Mayr scholarship funds while bringing families, friends, and community members together to celebrate Liz’s and Rose’s vibrant lives. The race incorporates some of the things they loved most of all: music, exercise and delicious food.
On August 21 of 2012, our community lost two amazing young women. The train derailment in Historic Ellicott City ended the lives of Elizabeth “Liz” Nass and Rose Mayr abruptly and prematurely. The 19-year-old friends were brilliant students: Liz was studying to be a special education teacher at James Madison University, and Rose was studying to be a nurse at the University of Delaware. In addition to their dedication to education, Liz and Rose were passionate about their community, their friends and their families.
